TEDA PPM has embarked on the development of the Groenkloof Nature Reserve Precinct Plan which serves as an opportunity to harness the true economic, conservation, heritage and cultural potential of the Groenkloof Nature Reserve. Groenkloof Nature Reserve
is a proclaimed nature reserve in terms of the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act, 57 of 2003, there are a number of restrictions on the use of this land. It measures approximately 680 hectares
in extent and is owned by the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality. The Fountain Valley Resort, Apies River and Nature Reserve facilities together form fundamental parts of the plan.
The precinct plan is currently a draft awaiting City of Tshwane Council approval for the implementation plan detailing development proposals along the 10 areas listed (above) in the plan with an investment
potential of harnessing approximately R300 million.
