Lebogang Mahaye is a dedicated professional with 10 years experience in local government, with expertise in corporate governance and international relations. Between 2001 and 2011, Ms. Mahaye was employed by the City of Tshwane in various capacities in middle management and senior management. In 2007 she was appointed as Executive Head: Governance Executive Support in the office of the Executive Mayor overseeing corporate governance, international relations and protocol, stakeholder management and mayoral committee secretariat. In 2011, Ms. Mahaye was employed by the Office of the President as a Researcher in the office of former President Thabo Mbeki. Ms Mahaye’s first employment was with COSATU’s Parliamentary Office in Cape Town as a Legal Researcher. As a young activist, she served as international relations officer in the National Executive Committee of the South African Students Congress, as Secretary General of the Southern African Students Union and as an additional member of the ANC Youth League Tshwane regional executive committee. Lebogang Mahaye is currently employed by the Tshwane Economic Development Agency as its Company Secretary. She holds Biuris and LLB degrees from the University of South Africa (formerly Vista University) and various certificates in corporate governance.
